Meet the Belles

The Bluebird Belles
Every story needs a beginning, and this one began in 2015 when three belles from the Midlands, united by a love of vintage and vocal harmony, decided to share their musical talents with the world - and the trio was born! Affectionately named 'The Midlands' Sweethearts', this fabulous retro girl group will dazzle you with bundles of charm from a bygone age!

During their ten years together, the Belles have performed to countless audiences nationwide and overseas, and have sung at some of the largest and most popular 1940s and vintage events.

As the years have gone by, the group's popularity and demand has increased, and more Belles have joined along the way to form a strong team of wonderful performers. Meet them below!

A huge lover of Musical Theatre, Beth has performed leading roles in classic shows 'West Side Story', 'South Pacific' and 'The Sound of Music' to name just a few! Beth was also fortunate enough to feature in the West End Ensemble in 'Musicals: The Greatest Show' filmed at the London Palladium for the BBC.

Carrie-Anne The Bluebird Belles
Carrie - Anne

Our ravishing redhead, Carrie-Anne, is no stranger to the vintage stage, having been performing the music of the 1940s and 50s for over ten years!

More at home in slippers than stilettos, you'll usually find our self-confessed 'Grandma' of the group backstage sipping on a cup of tea!

Carrie-Anne's vintage icon is the stunning, fellow-redhead Rita Hayworth, the top pin-up girl for GIs during the Second World War.

Carrie-Anne's performing highlights include featuring on prime time TV in the BBC's 'Frank Sinatra: Our Way' and entertaining in beautiful places all over the world including the Caribbean.

Allie

Allie has performed with the Bluebird Belles since 2023.

She has a stammer, and is an advocate for both the disability itself and the charity (STAMMA UK). This speech difference does not limit her singing! She knew from a very early age that she could express herself this way and is super proud to have been a professional singer since the age of 22.

Allie has performed all over the world in tours, musicals and production shows on various cruise lines. Trained in classical, her vocal influences include Andrea Bocelli, Lea Salonga, Maria Callas, and crossover star Katherine Jenkins.

Allie’s obsessions include hot chocolate, Christmas and 80s rock!

Her vintage icon and idol is Marylin Monroe - another strong, successful woman with a stammer!

Shannon

At the age of 12, and becoming increasingly interested in British Wartime history, Shannon asked for a Vera Lynn album on her Christmas list. From then on, she admired the rich, powerful voice that Dame Vera had, and she learned how to adapt and develop her own vocal style.

Shannon has performed at various prestigious venues across the UK, including Coombe Abbey, and at many weddings. Her favourite place to perform is The Black Country Museum, bringing her love of history and performance together.

A keen musical theatre lover, Shannon has long drawn inspiration from the legendary Julie Andrews.

Her fondness for the 1950s and 60s comes from her childhood spent listening to rock and roll and watching her grandparents dance.
